Any form of written content by the Content writing company on the internet is all about google! No matter what your content writing skills are there are some rules and guidelines that you need to follow to make sure your content ranks super high. So go through the below-mentioned checks to ensure your content is ranking as per how you wanted it to.

1. Your content is of poor quality

Many indicators of low-quality content have already been mentioned, such as excessively short content, keyword spam, and so on. However, there is a wide range where the quality of your content isn't so bad that you're deindexed, but it's bad enough that your ranks remain very low. Look at the front-page content and search for your topic. Is it satisfactory? Is it superior to your content? If that's the case, you'll have a difficult time outranking it.

2. You aren't using keywords that are relevant

Google has evolved significantly over the last decade to include extensive semantic indexing. That is, they index your page, but they can tell what the page is about, so you can appear in search results for queries that do not include your keywords. It can also be caused by synonyms and related topics. However, you must still use some level of keyword knowledge to guide your topic. Without it, Google won't understand what you're saying, and your generic content will not rank for anything.

3. Your website contains a lot of spammy content.

Spun content, pages with layer after layer of ads, pages with invisible content, and pages with only 200 words of content; all of these are spam or have such a low value that they don't think it's worth adding to their index at all.

4. Google didn't check it yet

Google inspects content on a regular basis, sometimes multiple times per day, sometimes only once a week. A lot depends on the popularity and size of your site, as well as the frequency with which you update it. If you don't post frequently, Google will not check frequently, so if you post something new, Google may not see it.

5. Your website contains a lot of duplicate content

Is all of your content original? Even if you've spun it, Google can detect if you've copied content from other sources. Plagiarism can destroy a website, and it can take some time for Google to discover and address it. A small amount of copied content can survive for a short time on an otherwise original site before being removed. And, if the copied content is behind a paywall or is in print rather than digital, it may take longer to be discovered.

6. You aren't promoting your content

Promoting your content helps bring in links, which improves your site's ranking. You want to collect links from a variety of sources, including as many relevant sources as possible. A link from a site that is similar to yours but has a higher ranking is preferable, as is a link from industry authorities, and so on. Links from aggregators can be useful, links from social media are acceptable, and links from medium to low-quality sites are beneficial. Only links from completely unrelated sites or spam sites should be avoided.

To wrap it up

The above-mentioned information can be super helpful if you are new to a Content writing company. So be sure to follow them.
